Theatre Auditions at The Lind


Youth Drama Classes at The Lind Theatre in 2025

 

Calling young people aged between 14 - 20 years with an interest in learning drama and theatre to the Lind Theatre Youth Drama classes.

 

 Classes will be run each Wednesday during school terms by tutor/examiner Judith Boyd and limited to 14 students. 


Classes will cover all aspects of stage craft including voice, communication, improvisation, character building, script interpretation, team work, performance and directing. Judith Boyd has worked in theatre for over fifty years as an actor, director, adjudicator and teacher. She has also worked in television, radio and film.

Classes will be fun and informative. Students from the Youth Theatre would be invited to perform in the Sunshine Coast Youth Theatre Festival held  in August each year.



Classes are $20 per week for a 1.5 hour class from 4-5.30pm each Wednesday. The 2nd term has commenced  for 14/4/25-20/6/25, and is now closed until Term 3  

Payment will be $144 for the term of 6 weeks, opens on and due at the first class.

The Five Faces Of Eve

A story of a girl who has many facets to her personality. As each personality un-folds, they become intwined in a battle to become one.

 

Cast- 5 females + 1 m/f:

Youth-25 age group

 

EVE NO. 1   Calm and quiet, doesn’t want to cause conflict.

EVE NO. 2.  Controlling, wants to be in charge and manipulate.

EVE NO. 3   A rogue, uncontrollable.

EVE NO. 4   Pure evil.

EVE NO. 5   The fixer, wants everyone to get along. Wants to be normal.

THERAPIST Young, inexperienced with issues of his/her own.

 

 

TOMORROW

An old man visits an inner Brisbane City Park each day to be with and feed his friends, the birds. He has regular "visitors" who stop by for a chat as they pass through the park. His plans for tomorrow become a concern when the visitors find out he is not in the park that morning. Time: mid 1980s

 

Cast

STAN                       A man in his eighties, old but not senile.

MRS STOODFIELD A very wise, set in her ways woman, around fifty. Loves to chat.

MICHAEL                  Late teens to early twenties, unemployed but keeps himself fit.

MARY                        An attractive office worker in her early to mid-twenties

CONSTABLE           A sincere police officer (age and gender open)

 

 

THE STALKER

Alison has been married for twenty-seven years. She has a nice life. Nice, but a little bit boring. After all those years with the same man, she feels desperate for excitement. Out of the blue, those desperately seeking thrills start happening and she can’t believe what she actually ends up doing……

ROBERT                  Alison’s husband. Fifties.

JOSH            Personal Trainer. Male. Twenty-one.

LOUISE                    Alison’s best friend. Fifties.

Two Females Members of gym and waitress at John Boris Espresso. Forties/ Fifties.

Two Females Non scripted. Clubbers in Pzaz and members of gym. Early twenties. NEWSREADER/RECEPTION Male or Female. Voice only. Not seen on stage.
